The Macmillan Coffee Shop in Isla Road, Perth is a charitable venture run by volunteers. It is set in a beautiful woodland park and is the ideal place to combine a walk in the fresh Perthshire air with a satisfying lunch. It serves delicious soup, sandwiches and home baking and is staffed by volunteers.
All proceeds from the venture go to help cancer patients in Perth and Kinross and each year the committee hands over its profits to the Cornhill Macmillan Centre located within the grounds of Perth Royal Infirmary. The Cornhill Macmillan Centre opened in 2009 and the coffee shop is very happy to support the new centre.
The Coffee Shop has been run with the generous help of volunteers since 1991 and the Gannochy Trust have kindly given the committee free use of the delightful premises in Quarrymill Woodland Park since this time.
One of our latest reviews:
"Stop here for a light lunch. Home baking is delicious and soup is home made and changes every day. It is a delight to sit outside on a sunny day.
Run with the help of volunteers, all funds raised go to the MacMillan Fund. One of the few places where you can partake of good old fashioned baking. Have a lovely walk up the Den Burn afterwards to burn off the calories."
